On this hot, sunny Wednesday evening there was plenty of spots available inside and on the outdoor deck. The bartender says they do get busy, but "you never can tell". Billed as Northern Italian inspired crusine, the food is terrific and there is all kinds of seating, with an outdoor deck, lounge and back room and happy hour is available throughout. They have even more happy hour menu than are listed here.

Bamboo had a fantastic view of the Seattle skyline and the Sound from it’s sidewalk seating. As the name implies, Bamboo has a tropical theme and decor, making it really fun on a sunny, nice day. On this sunny Thursday, the crowd was sparse, but then it was Cinco de Mayo. Zac, the bartender, says they get busier for the late happy hour then the afternoon.

score:
Broadway Grill has a big happy hour area, plenty of room for everyone you know. Nikki, the bartender, was busy, but we never waited even a second for our drinks. And she was really great about making sure we got happy hour last call. This cloudy Thursday, the bar was full, but plenty of space was available at tables. Happy hour is available throughout the restaurant, bar area and sidewalk seating. What makes the Broadway Grill so fun is the large skylights and actually trees growing. Now, who doesn’t like to drink next to a tree?

The Capitol Club is a place most people don't think of for a Seattle happy hour, but they have unique food specials and killer outdoor seating, a balcony that overlooks Pine St. So you can do a drive by and see if there is room for you and yours. Ray’s has one of the best happy hours in town. They offer great food, but that’s nothing compared to the view. Their patio practically sits on the water, and all in a smoke free environment, indoor and out. Halfway through happy hour on this cloudy Friday, the bar was full, but there were a couple of tables available on the deck. This may have something to do with the bus staff starting to pass out blankets.

score:
Rock Bottom bills their happy hour as “$3 for 3 hours.” From 3pm to 6pm Monday thru Friday, you can enjoy their freshly brewed beers, Leaping Horse wines and well drinks and happy hour appetizers for $3. Happy hour is available in the bar and on the outside patio, which is partially nonsmoking. On this cloudy Wednesday evening the bar was full, but there was space available at both the pool tables and outside. Rock Bottom, which is at the base of Rainier Square, draws all types--suits, shorts and tattoos.

Salty’s on Alki

Seattle, WA 98126
(206) 937-1600
3-6pm M-F
score:
This sunny Thursday there were few patrons at Salty’s happy hour. Which is unfortunate, because Salty’s offers the best view of the Sound and the Seattle skyline in West Seattle. And the happy hour prices are nice to look at as well. Salty’s offers some of regular menu items at discount prices, not just a few appetizers. Happy hour is offered in the cafe and patio, where kids are welcomed. During the summer months, happy hour revelers can take the Water Taxi to Alki from Seattle’s Waterfront. No reason to drive.

4pm to 6pm Monday thru Friday
score:
Serafina is a charming little Italian place at the south end of Eastlake Ave. During the summer they have a back patio surrounded by a lovely garden, but this fall eveing it was abandoned. What makes Serafina's happy hour special is the food, which is not the typical happy hour food. Instead, they offer the appetizers available on their regular menu with smaller portions. Happy hour at Serafina is a great opportunity to sample the treats of one of Seattle's most beloved restaurants.

Sport Restaurant and Bar

3-5:30pm M-F
score:
On this stormy Friday, late in to the happy hour, the bar was full at Sport, but there was plenty of room at the tables. Sport happy hour is still in the processed of being defined and offered so early in the day to accommodate employees of Fischer Plaza. Currently the specials are only available in the bar and the outdoor patio, which has a great view of the Space Needle. Sport offers five TVs for sport viewing and gets downright crazy before events at the Key, although happy hour isn’t offered when there is a sporting event at the Seattle Center. Take advantage of bartender Marcus Nates’ awarding winning martinis and watch poetry in motion.

score:
Sully’s have been a Phinney Ridge Saloon since the 1920s and has the look and feel of an Irish cottage. In addition to the daily happy hour, Sully's has happy hour all day on Sundays. On this hot, Thursday evening, Sully’s was pretty full, but there was space available on the outdoor deck. Sully’s doesn’t offer food specials during happy hour, but has very reasonable priced pub grub at all times, Like $2 grilled cheese sandwiches and $2.50 for a hot dog.

On this sunny Wednesday afternoon, Tacos Guaymas had plenty of seating. With the outdoor seating and one whole wall that’s open to the outdoors, I doubt that is seldom the case. Tacos Guaymas Greenlake is one of several in and around Seattle. The food comes out fast and is very tasty. Happy hour is available in the dining room, so bring the kids.

The War Room has a surprize-the happy hour lounge is an upstairs, outdoor deck! Surrounded by bamboo and supplied with heating lamps, it is the perfect place on a summer evening. The bambo hides the bar from the street and cuts down on the traffic noise. The area is small so not cohesive for large groups, but perfect spot for a date or some serious girl talk.

Opened in 1999, the Waterfront is very fancy and beautiful place. It is a crap shoot on available space. On this sunny Friday night, there were plenty of spots available at the bar and on the outdoor deck. But we were here a few weeks ago and had to cancel our review, as we couldn't get a space. The view from the Waterfront is as amazing as the name implies, not only of the Sound, but of the Space Needle and Myrtle Edwards Park as well. Zig Zag Cafe

5 to 7pm M-F
score:
The Zig Zag Cafe is where Murray, Seattle’s most beloved bartender, has been for two years. Nestled on the Pike Place Market’s Hillclimb, Zig Zag is a pretty happening place. Cool and dark on the this Thursday evening, even with the patio doors wide open. The Zig Zag Cafe offers eighteen cocktails on it’s happy hour menu for $5, beating out the usual price of $8.50. The bar was full, but there were spots available at inside tables and on the outside patio, where a slender view of the Sound can be seen. Zig Zag has a great happy hour if you feel the urge for an exotic cocktail, curling up in a luxurious, semicircle booth and thinking up ways to kill your boss.
