score:

Patti Summers is gone-gone and the Can-Can is here-here! Opened just three months ago, the happy hour crowd was sparse this Solistice Wednesday. Can-Can's happy hour claim to fame is the wines! The appetizers are half price, and different compared to the usual happy hour fare. Try the Arancini, it's cheap, it's filling and it's yummy. Also, ask the cocktail waitress where she got the outfit. There's a story there.

score:

Cutter’s is a Seattle standard, but on this hot Friday afternoon there was room at the bar and at tables. Cutters’ big draw for happy hour is sushi. They have a huge selection at a great price. The view at Cutter’s is amazing, unfortunately happy hour is only offered in the bar and the view is best in the dining room.

Seattle, WA 98121

2067287000

3pm thru 5pm Sunday thru Thursday only

score:

Do you know why the Edgewater is the only hotel in Seattle right on the waterfront? Okay, well I'll tell you anyway. They were exempt from that zoning law because of the need for lodging during Seattle's World Fair. The Edgewater happy hour starts early, but it is the perfect place for a late lunch or business meeting. No drink specials are offered so you won't look like a lush to the boss. The view is amazing and the outdoor deck couldn't be closer to the water. Happy hour is available in the lounge and outdoor deck. Note: Although fishing from your room is permitted, it is not encouraged as it was in the days of the Fab Four. It is really hard on the maid staff.

score:

Fish Club is swanky and so is the happy hour. The staff is fast, friendly and professional and the view is amazing. This is the perfect place to watch the sun go down. Fish Club offers outdoor seating, and late into the happy hour this sunny Friday evening the patio was full. Happy hour food is 50% off the regular lounge menu. score:

Fisherman's offers a great deal on happy hour munchies, like steamed mussels and clams for $3.99 and half a Dungeness crab for $4.99, still in the shell! Happy hour food items are mostly fish and bivalves, which disappointed a fellow patron who didn’t like fish. The look on her face when I reminded her that the name of the place was the Fisherman’s told me she didn’t see the irony. Fisherman’s has only been celebrating happy hour since the beginning of the year, and on this incredibly beautiful spring Friday afternoon there was plenty of room in the bar. The view from the bar is pure Sound. This is a great place to take out of town guests and show off Seattle’s beauty. There is outdoor seating, but unfortunately happy hour specials aren’t offered there.

A old timer on the fine dining scene, a puppy to the happy hour scene. score:

Kells is a very traditional Irish bar, with Irish staff , owner and patrons. This dark, wooden bar is cool even on this hot Thursday afternoon and the place was lively. And unlike the Motherland, you don’t have to panic when you hear someone shout “Car bomb!” It is a drink with Guinness, whisky and Bailey’s.

Opened in 1999, the Waterfront is very fancy and beautiful place. It is a crap shoot on available space. On this sunny Friday night, there were plenty of spots available at the bar and on the outdoor deck. But we were here a few weeks ago and had to cancel our review, as we couldn't get a space. score:

The Zig Zag Cafe is where Murray, Seattle’s most beloved bartender, has been for two years. Nestled on the Pike Place Market’s Hillclimb, Zig Zag is a pretty happening place. Cool and dark on the this Thursday evening, even with the patio doors wide open. The Zig Zag Cafe offers eighteen cocktails on it’s happy hour menu for $5, beating out the usual price of $8.50. The bar was full, but there were spots available at inside tables and on the outside patio, where a slender view of the Sound can be seen.
